Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adelaide Jouet shared a love of nature and the arts. She was a cultured young woman from a Norman merchant family; he a masterful vintner and botanist. A year after their wedding, in 1811 they founded Maison Perrier-Jouet: born of their desire to create a Champagne House with a difference.
On the nose, this champagne is delicate and floral, with notes of honeysuckle and jasmine, complemented by hints of fresh pear and citrus. As you take a sip, you'll notice a creamy texture and a complex flavor profile that blends together seamlessly. The taste is dominated by crisp apple and pear flavors, with a subtle underlying mineral note that gives the champagne a distinct depth and complexity. The finish is long and satisfying, with just the right amount of acidity to balance out the sweetness.
