Description
Bruno Clair founded the estate that bears his name in 1979. Based out of Marsannay at the Northern extremity of the Cote de Nuits, the estate now covers 24 hectares of vineyards stretching the length of the Cote d'Or with the most substantial holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin.
This lieu-dit name is a feminine diminutive of the Burgundian patois word Vau, that is derived from the Latin VALLIS, meaning valley. It designates both the slightly hilly landscape of the vineyard and its position: below and near En Lavaux.
Grapes varietal: Pinot Noir
