Description
The Domaine has been run by the same family for more than 160 years and has a long history of very fine wine making. Caroline Drouhin, the 6th generation, also sources grapes from a close knit group of growers for a range of negociant wines, labeled as Maison Laroze de Drouhin.
Grapes varietal: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes
Nose: It has a well-defined bouquet of blackberry, briary and black tea, quite open at this early stage, the stem addition noticeable
Palate: The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, notes of blackberry and bilberry fruit, quite introverted at the moment with a slightly austere finish that I suspect will gain more fruité by the time of bottling.
